integrity—especially in relation to
financial accountability.
CASE STUDY - UNION GOSPEL
MISSION
Union Gospel
Mission in Vancouver, BC, Canada, is one of our
key clients. This ministry began over 57 years
ago as an outreach to men who were out of work
during the depression and suffering the effects
of alcoholism.
 Over the years, the
ministry has expanded as needs have increased, to
care for men, women and children caught in the
grip of poverty, alcoholism, drug addiction and
prostitution.
Through their many programs, including the
successful “Drug & Alcohol Recovery
Program”, hundreds have been healed and
returned to productive lives in society. In
addition, many have received the message of
salvation which the Mission presents to the
hundreds they serve each day.
The Union Gospel Mission relies completely on the
kind gifts of individuals, businesses, churches
and foundations to meet these needs - they
receive no government funding. It is a tremendous
challenge to raise the necessary funds to
continue the valued work of caring for the poor.
We have been working with UGM for over 7 years
and have  been fortunate to see our efforts
bless and be blessed. The samples of a recent
appeal letter, response card and mailing envelope
shown here are some of the tools we use.
